Om CloudCost

About CloudCost

CloudCost is an independent, multilingual cloud pricing sammenligning project. Our mission is simple: make cloud kostnads transparent so that every team — from solo developers to enterprise procurement departments — can choose the right leverandor for their arbeidsbelastning without spending days deciphering pricing kalkulators.

Our Mission

Cloud pricing changes frequently and is published in dozens of regional currencies and rabatt models. The result is that most teams either over-provision out of caution or pick a leverandor out of habit and never revisit the decision. CloudCost exists to surface equivalent services side by side, in plain language, in 24 languages, so that the kostnad conversation can happen with real numbers instead of assumptions.

How We Build Comparisons

Every sammenligning on CloudCost follows the same methodology:

  1. Identify equivalent services — we match instans types by vCPU, memory, and local lagring so that the sammenligning is apples-to-apples.
  2. Pull published list priss — we reference the official pricing pages of each leverandor for the us-east-1 / West US 2 / us-central1 regions as a baseline, and note regional variations where they matter.
  3. Include rabatt programs — we show on-demand pricing first, then indicate where reservert instanss, savings plans, or committed-use rabatts materially change the picture.
  4. Flag caveats — we call out differences in included features, such as free egress tiers, that affect the total kostnad of ownership.

Independence and Affiliates

CloudCost is editorially independent. Pricing shown is for reference only and may change; always verify on the official leverandor website before purchasing. Some links may be affiliate links, and we may earn a commission if you sign up through them, but this never influences which leverandors we cover or how we rank them.
