About CloudCost

CloudCost is an independent, multilingual cloud pricing vergelijking project. Our mission is simple: make cloud kostens transparent so that every team — from solo developers to enterprise procurement departments — can choose the right provider for their werkbelasting without spending days deciphering pricing rekenmachines.

Our Mission

Cloud pricing changes frequently and is published in dozens of regioal currencies and korting models. The result is that most teams either over-provision out of caution or pick a provider out of habit and never revisit the decision. CloudCost exists to surface equivalent services side by side, in plain language, in 24 languages, so that the kosten conversation can happen with real numbers instead of assumptions.

How We Build Comparisons

Every vergelijking on CloudCost follows the same methodology:

1. Identify equivalent services — we match instantie types by vCPU, memory, and local opslag so that the vergelijking is apples-to-apples.
2. Pull published list prijss — we reference the official pricing pages of each provider for the us-east-1 / West US 2 / us-central1 regios as a baseline, and note regioal variations where they matter.
3. Include korting programs — we show on-demand pricing first, then indicate where gereserveerd instanties, savings plans, or committed-use kortings materially change the picture.
4. Flag caveats — we call out differences in included features, such as free egress tiers, that affect the total kosten of ownership.
