About CloudCost

Our Mission

CloudCost exists to surface equivalent services side by side, in plain language, in 24 languages, so that the 비용 conversation can happen with real numbers instead of assumptions.

How We Build Comparisons

Every 비교 on CloudCost follows the same methodology:

1. Identify equivalent services — we match 인스턴스 types by vCPU, memory, and local 스토리지 so that the 비교 is apples-to-apples.
2. Pull published list 가격s — we reference the official pricing pages of each 프로바이더 for the us-east-1 / West US 2 / us-central1 리전s as a baseline, and note 리전al variations where they matter.
3. Include 할인 programs — we show on-demand pricing first, then indicate where 예약 인스턴스s, savings plans, or committed-use 할인s materially change the picture.
4. Flag caveats — we call out differences in included features, such as free egress tiers, that affect the total 비용 of ownership.
