AWS Pricing Overview

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the largest public cloud provedor and offers the broadest catalog of services. AWS pricing is published as on-demand list precos, with substantial descontos available through Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and Spot Instances. This page gives you a working overview of how AWS precos its most common services and where the savings opportunities lie.

Compute: EC2 Instance Families

AWS EC2 instancias are grouped into families optimized for different carga de trabalhos. The most commonly comparard families are:

• General purpose — m5, m6i, m7g (Graviton). Balanced CPU and memory, suitable for web servers and small databases.

Storage: S3 Tiers

Amazon S3 precos objects by armazenamento tier and by request volume. The standard tier in us-east-1 starts at $0.023 per GB-month for the first 50 TB. Infrequent-access tiers (S3 Standard-IA and S3 One-Zone-IA) drop armazenamento custo but charge per-GB retrieval fees, so they only pay off for data accessed less than once a month.

Free Tier and Credits

AWS offers a 12-month free tier on the most popular services (750 hours per month of t2.micro/t3.micro EC2, 5 GB of S3 standard armazenamento, 750 hours of RDS) plus an “always free” tier that does not expire. New accounts also receive a $300 credit valid for 90 days, useful for prototyping before committing to a reservada instancia.
